Today is National Women’s Equality Day. You can thank Bella Azbug for that!
Also known as Battling Bella, she’s responsible for establishing the day in 1971 which commemorates the addition of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution giving women the right to vote.

It was just less than 100 years ago, that women didn’t have this right. In the last 10 years, we’ve seen a woman run for vice president, a woman command the International Space Station, an African American woman serve as Secretary of State and a historic high of women leading Fortune 500 companies.
Ladies, we rock. The celebration of us, our accomplishments and our futures are not confined to this nationally commemorative day.
I’d love for you to share your personal success stories in your careers with me here or on my professional Facebook page. Who is your role model? What are your aspirations? What about being a woman inspires you? What’s your favorite empowering quote? Go for it!
For me, I’ve never let the fact that I am a woman get in the way of my career or my aspirations. I hope we have this in common. I tap into the meaning of my last name and never think twice that I am a woman. I am a Warrior!
